Message	You seal it with just RTV. I would get the gasket though and use it with the RTV. If you aren't going to do the TB, at least inspect it. You can also do the coolant bypass hoses. I am just going to say, if you are getting close to needing the timing belt, then find a way to get it done. There are plenty of Z people in Chicago.
